Public Power in Georgetown, TX is seeking a qualified leader to supervise and advance the protection, automation, and SCADA tasks for the electric distribution system. You will oversee relay settings, IED configurations, and 24/7 reliability efforts, coordinating with engineers, field ops, and contractors.

The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related field and at least six years of experience, including two in a lead capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience in electric distribution protection/automation/SCADA.
• Two years in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Responsabilités

• Lead substation automation and protection personnel with clear direction and technical support.
• Plan maintenance, testing, and commissioning of protective relays, IEDs, and related automation systems.
• Support 24/7 reliability of protection and control systems, ensuring proper relay coordination and event reporting.
• Oversee relay settings, SCADA point mapping, and integration of devices into control systems.
• Provide guidance on protection schemes, automation configurations, and system upgrades.
