Job summary

Poweredbysenergy is seeking a skilled Protection & Controls Engineer to lead a team in developing relay settings for transmission and distribution substations. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 8 years of experience in the power industry, especially in protection system design.

The role involves managing team performance, developing technical diagrams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position is based in Boerne, Texas and may require some travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of direct Protection & Controls design and settings experience.
• Experience with protection and control devices like SEL, GE, Beckwith.
• Ability to articulate and communicate with global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop team members to meet client outcomes.
• Develop substation one-lines, relaying & metering schematics.
• Lead projects including preparation of drawings and calculations.
