Serco Inc. is seeking a Senior Ship Control Systems Engineer in Groton, CT to support VIRGINIA Class Submarine and PMS450 program offices.

The role focuses on ship control systems design, maintenance requirements, and coordination with Navy and shipbuilders to resolve technical issues and drive schedule efficiency. The candidate should have a DoW Secret clearance, 10+ years in naval engineering, and deep knowledge of Fly-By-Wire and SCS.

Qualificações

• Active DoW Secret clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Marine, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• An Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree or a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
• 10 years of experience.
• Project/Program management experience or similar/related experience.
• Mastery of electrical engineering principles in naval ships/submarines, ship systems, or subsystems.
• Knowledge of and experience with Submarine Fly-By-Wire and Ship Control Systems.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Submarine Fly-By-Wire and Ship Control Systems technical area in developing design and maintenance requirements for shipboard systems.
• Define architectures for Submarine Control Systems including steering, diving, auxiliary, and related systems.
• Obtain fleet feedback on system operation and analyze performance.
• Develop electrical engineering guidelines for command headquarters and field activities.
• Manage technical and design requirements for submarine shipbuilding programs.
• Communicate scope, status, and impact of technical issues to Navy and Shipbuilder teams.
• Work with engineering, production, QA, program offices to resolve issues expediently.
• Promote continuous improvement and integration across departments.
