Serco is seeking a Senior Ship Control Systems Engineer in Groton, CT to support VIRGINIA Class submarine programs. You will lead design, architecture, and maintenance of ship control systems, coordinating with Navy offices and shipbuilders to resolve technical issues.

The role requires active DoW Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and extensive experience in naval/marine engineering and program management. On-site work in Groton with travel as needed.

Formación

• Active secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive naval ship and submarine systems experience desired.

Responsabilidades

• Support Submarine Fly-By-Wire and Ship Control Systems design and maintenance requirements.
• Define architectures for submarine control systems (steering, diving, auxiliary).
• Obtain fleet feedback and analyze system performance.
• Develop electrical engineering guidelines for command HQ and field activities.
• Manage design requirements for submarine shipbuilding programs.
• Expedite issue resolution with cognizant SMEs and program offices.
• Communicate scope and impact of technical issues to Navy and shipbuilders.
• Collaborate across engineering, production, QA, and program offices.
