Serco Inc. is seeking a Senior Ship Control Systems Engineer to support the VIRGINIA Class Submarine Program (PMS450) and Navy offices. The role requires active DoW Secret clearance, US citizenship, and extensive experience in ship control systems, electrical engineering, and program management.

Qualifications

Active DoW Secret clearance is required.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Marine, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
Alternative: Associate's degree with 2 years of related experience or high school diploma with 4 years of related experience.
10 years of experience in relevant fields is expected.

Responsibilities

Develop architectures for Submarine Fly-By-Wire and Ship Control Systems (SCS).
Define design and maintenance requirements for shipboard systems.
Address design, operation, and maintenance questions for existing and new systems.
Obtain fleet feedback and analyze system performance.
Communicate scope, status, and impact of technical issues to stakeholders.
Translate complex issues into actionable plans and drive resolution.
