Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT seeks a Ship Control Systems Engineer to support the development, installation, and deployment of ship control systems for U.S. Navy submarines.

You will join a specialized engineering team delivering critical systems for mission readiness across multiple submarine classes. The role emphasizes systems engineering, requirements definition, hardware/software integration, and simulation and testing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Physics.
• 0-5 years of post-graduate engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the DoD.

• Ability to follow established engineering policies and procedures while performing complex technical assignments.
• Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams, develop project plans, and ensure timely and onbudget delivery of engineering work.
• Strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively in fastpaced, collaborative, crossfunctional teams, and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.
• Strong analytical, problemsolving, and project management skills.
• Ability to present design status and timelines in project reviews.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and drive corrective actions.
