Job summary

Serco Inc. invites professionals to join the Submarine Shipbuilding Improvement team supporting the VIRGINIA Class program. You will drive process improvements to accelerate production, reduce waste, and enhance safety for naval submarine construction.

Requirements include an active DoW Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and at least 5 years in submarine construction, with strong data analytics and cross-functional collaboration skills. Some travel to the DC area is expected.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of submarine construction or naval shipbuilding experience.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of submarine construction timelines and bottlenecks.
• Analyze production processes and identify inefficiencies.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to reduce cycle times and waste.
• Manage improvement projects from conception to completion.
• Use data metrics to drive decisions and track progress.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, QA and suppliers.
• Facilitate change management and training for staff.
