Job summary

Saab, Inc. seeks an experienced Manager of Subcontracts to lead a team supporting complex, high-value procurements and defense programs. You will oversee negotiation, risk management, and contractor performance while ensuring regulatory compliance across FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and Saab policies.

The role reports to the Director of Supply Chain Excellence and offers leadership opportunities across multiple U.S. locations, including Syracuse, East and additional offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in supply chain, contracts, or logistics (7+ years with a Master's).
• Leadership over Subcontracts, Proposal, Buying and Planning teams.
• Experience with government regulations (FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, TINA).
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Subcontracts team across programs and proposals.
• Oversee development, negotiation, and administration of high-value subcontracts.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, DoD regulations, and Saab policies.
• Provide SME guidance on subcontracting and risk evaluation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies.
• Support audits and government reviews.
• Lead workforce planning and talent development.
