Job summary

Saab, Inc. seeks a Manager of Subcontracts to lead a team delivering complex DoD and FAA program support. You will oversee the full subcontract lifecycle—negotiation, administration, and risk management—ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and Saab procurement policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering-General or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of supply chain, contracts and material management experience (or 7+ with a Master's).
• Leadership experience over Subcontracts, Proposal, Buying and Planning teams.
• Experience with government regulations (FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, TINA).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Subcontracts team across programs, proposals, and supply chain initiatives.
• Oversee development, negotiation, execution, and administration of high-value subcontracts.
• Ensure subcontracting activities comply with FAR/DFARS, DoD regulations, and Saab policies.
• Provide SME guidance on subcontracting requirements and risk.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sourcing strategies that meet program objectives.
• Support strategic supply chain initiatives and continuous improvement across functions.
• Establish and maintain subcontracting policies, templates, and tools.
• Support audits and government reviews with documentation and resolution.
• Lead workforce planning, hiring, and performance development within Subcontracts.
