Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager Subcontracts 2 in Roy, UT to support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. The role emphasizes subcontract management, bid/RFP processes, and cross-functional collaboration across contracts, supply chain, and engineering.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree with extensive related experience (or a Master’s with additional years) and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of related experience or Master’s with 6 years of related experience
• Experience preparing bid/RFP packages and conducting bidders’ conferences
• Direct experience as primary subcontract manager for a major subcontractor
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams (engineering, facilities, finance, contracts)
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government contracting requirements
• Proficiency with enterprise procurement systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office tools

Responsibilities

• Ensure subcontracting activities align with program cost, schedule, technical, and quality objectives
• Lead development of subcontract specifications, statements of work, and terms and conditions
• Prepare bid/RFP packages, conduct bidders’ conferences, evaluate proposals, and administer subcontracts
• Negotiate subcontract provisions and manage additions/deletions/modifications
• Collaborate with contracts administration, supply chain, engineering, and program management to improve procedures
• Ensure subcontracts and work packages are completed on schedule and within budget
