Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Procurement Manager 2 for Roy, UT to lead procurement staff supporting the Sentinel (GBSD) program. The role includes directing purchasing activities, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARs while coordinating across programs.

The position requires a U.S. citizen with DoD Secret clearance eligibility, plus 2+ years leading teams and strong supplier management. A 9/80 work schedule and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years or Master’s and 6+ years of relevant experience in Global Supply Chain, U.S. Government contract, or Procurement/Subcontracts.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading processes, and/or projects.
• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry and working knowledge of FAR/DFARs.
• 5 years of experience with RFQs, bid analysis, negotiations and PO documentation.

Responsibilities

• Direct Supervision of staff, assigning work priorities and daily assignments necessary to support the sector objectives.
• Provide direction to the team to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Manage purchasing team responsible for purchasing activities including RFQs, bid analysis, negotiating POs, documenting PO requirements and managing supplier performance and relationships.
• Terms and Conditions negotiations
• Metrics reporting and data analytics
• Engage in supplier sourcing strategy development
• Manage supply chain risks and opportunities
• Cross-functional coordination inside and outside the organization
• Engage suppliers for long-term agreements and major programs
• Support Procurement teams in policies, sourcing, training, and development
• Plan and assign procurement resources to match knowledge and experience
• Independent review of procurement products and compliance packages for audits and leadership review
