Job summary

Amentum in Paducah, KY seeks a Subcontract Administrator to manage contracts, bid proposals, and supplier relationships. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines to prepare and review documents and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

The role requires a BA/BS and 5+ years of experience, strong communication, and knowledge of FAR/DEAR and DOE policies. DOE clearance or ability to obtain is preferred, with a focus on safety and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related subcontract administration or contracts experience.
• Strong understanding of FAR/DEAR and DOE regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to maintain compliance and identify risks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bid proposals and compile proposal packages.
• Review bid tabulations and modify contract terms and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with disciplines to summarize bid proposals and obtain management approval.
• Conduct pre-award conferences with contractors and clients.
• Award contracts via phone, telex, or letter.
• Solicit awards, administer, and close contracts under FAR/DEAR.
• Prepare subcontract documents reflecting scope, terms, and changes.
• Track deliverables and ensure contract compliance.
• Act as local negotiator for variances and ensure schedule adherence.
• Maintain safety policies and participate in Safety Work Groups.
