Job summary

Amentum seeks a Deputy Procurement/Contracts Manager to support the Procurement/Contracts Manager in Paducah, KY, ensuring DOE-aligned procurement and subcontracting activities. This role leads procurement staff, ensures auditable processes, and interfaces with the DOE CO and project teams.

Responsibilities include lifecycle management, compliance with FAR/DEAR directives, and strategy development for contract types and evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Contracts, or related field; education beyond Bachelor's may count as experience.
• Minimum 10 years of federal procurement/subcontracting experience.
• Experience under FAR/DEAR within a DOE or federal contractor environment.
• Experience supporting an approved purchasing system.
• Knowledge of contract types, source selection, and cost/price analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement lifecycle activities: planning, solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, award, administration, closeout.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DEAR, DOE directives, and internal procedures.
• Review procurement documents: price reasonableness, sole source justifications, source selection records.
• Assist in acquisition strategy development: contract type selection and evaluation methods.
• Oversee subcontract administration: modifications, funding actions, closeout.
• Ensure proper FAR/DEAR flow-down clauses.
