Job summary

Amentum is seeking Deputy Procurement/Contracts Manager for Paducah, KY to supervise procurement staff and oversee subcontracting activities in compliance with FAR, DEAR, and DOE directives. The role ensures audits and flow-down clauses across the lifecycle from planning to closeout.

You will collaborate with DOE COs and project teams, participate in strategy development, and lead efforts to maintain a compliant, auditable purchasing system in a DOE environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Contracts, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of Federal procurement/subcontracting experience.
• Demonstrated experience working under FAR/DEAR within a DOE or federal contractor environment.
• Experience supporting an approved purchasing system.
• Working knowledge of contract types, source selection, and cost/price analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement lifecycle activities including planning, solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DEAR, DOE directives, and internal procurement procedures.
• Review procurement documentation, including price reasonableness determinations, sole source justifications, and source selection records.
• Assist in acquisition strategy development, including contract type selection and evaluation methodologies.
• Oversee subcontract administration activities, including modifications, funding actions, and closeout.
• Ensure proper flow-down of required FAR/DEAR clauses.
• Support audit readiness and compliance with DOE procurement system reviews (PERT/CPSR).
• Interface with DOE Contracting Officer (CO), internal project teams, and functional organizations, and attend/present at conferences.
• Provide leadership, training, and guidance to procurement staff.
