Job summary

TerraPower in Bellevue, WA seeks a Subcontract Technical Representative to provide strategic technical oversight across multi‑billion subcontract programs, coordinate with Procurement, Legal and Finance, and support continuous improvement in supplier relationships.

The role requires an engineering degree and 15+ years in technically oriented management of customer-to-subcontractor interfaces, with DOE/National Lab exposure and strong process-mapping skills. EVMS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with focus relevant to nuclear power plant/equipment engineering.
• Minimum 15 years in technically oriented management of customer-to-subcontractor interfaces.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, government, infrastructure projects; knowledge of nuclear contracts and delivery methods.
• Direct experience contracting or engineering scope in the nuclear industry and international projects (preferred).
• DOE and National Labs exposure is preferred.
• Proficient in process mapping, root-cause analysis, problem solving, and value-stream mapping.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; able to work independently and with teams.
• Experience implementing project controls/metrics including EVMS.
• MS Office and collaboration tools proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the technical interface between TerraPower and subcontractors to ensure clear requirements and timely changes.
• Develop or support statements of work and project planning to meet subcontractor scope and objectives.
• Define specifications for subcontractor technical requirements and, where needed, construction of facilities and systems.
• Provide technical direction and oversight of subcontractor work with cross-functional support.
• Coordinate and support reviews of subcontractor deliverables and responses.
• Assist with management of technical interfaces between subcontractor work and TerraPower projects.
• Analyze complex issues, guide stakeholders, and ensure compliance.
• Support contract administration and commercial activities to implement project scope.
• Monitor supplier capabilities, changes, and relationships for positive TerraPower outcomes.
• Track and improve subcontractor performance using established metrics and actions.
