Job summary

TerraPower seeks a Director of Contracts to provide strategic oversight, compliance reviews, and management of major subcontracts totaling billions in scope. You will collaborate with Procurement, Legal, and Finance to drive negotiations and improvements across international projects in nuclear and related sectors.

The role requires a deep understanding of contract requirements, licensing, EVMS and extensive leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or similar field; postgraduate study preferred.
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in technically-oriented contracting.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, government, infrastructure projects and DOE/National Labs familiarity.
• Nuclear industry contracting experience with international projects is preferred.
• Strong in process mapping, root-cause analysis and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee strategic direction and long-term financial goals of subcontracts.
• Promote long-term development of requirements to support TerraPower's objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement agreements and ensure compliance.
• Lead strategic partnerships through contractual relationships with major partners.
• Organize staff and resources to support relationships and performance metrics.
• Analyze complex issues and provide guidance for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure contracts have defined terms, costs and are compliant with regulations.
• Maintain documentation for audit readiness and resolution of disputes.
• Provide compliance oversight for key subcontracts and licensing/insurance certs.
• Monitor subcontractor performance using established metrics and action plans.
• Support negotiation of emerging requirements to meet project goals.
• Escalate non-compliance or relationship issues as needed.
