Job summary

WSP is seeking a Full Time Structures Representative to lead construction engineering activities in the Antioch area, serving the PMCM team and coordinating field inspections across Bay Area sites. The role emphasizes QA oversight, plan and calculations review, and risk-based decision making to support project success.

The candidate will supervise field inspection staff, perform constructability reviews, and coordinate with contractors and agencies.

Qualifications

• BSCE or related Degree.
• Current California PE license.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience, 5 of which are as a Structures Representative.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and material.
• Valid CA driver's license.
• Solid written and verbal skills.
• Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and inspecting plans and calculations for falsework, shoring, staging, bridges, and other submissions on public projects.
• Responding to construction issues and resolving field problems effectively.
• Conducting meetings among contractors, owners, utilities and project parties.
• Inspecting, documenting, and coordinating field tests of construction materials.
• Analyzing change orders and drafting claims dispositions.
• Preparing constructability reviews and reports.
• Assuming field engineering, contract administration, inspection, testing, surveying and quality control on large or multiple projects.
• Supervising field staff and representing projects at meetings and conferences.
• Adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct and policies; managing funds and resources responsibly.
• Performing additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
