Job summary

WSP Global Inc. seeks an experienced Full-Time Structures Inspector in the Antioch, CA area, with consideration for Roseville, San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Rancho Cordova.

The role focuses on bridge and highway structure inspections and construction management per Caltrans manuals and standard specs. The inspector will review plans, perform calculations, assist in change orders, and sample materials, while ensuring safety and adherence to project requirements.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary experience in structural construction inspection on Caltrans/major public works.
• Solid understanding of stress analysis and material properties.
• Familiarity with Caltrans safety rules and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specs and provisions on bridges, foundations, and related structures.
• Review falsework/shoring plans, demolition plans and concrete designs.
• Make grade, alignment, quantity, falsework and shoring calculations.
• Assist in preparing change orders and RFIs, and in progress pay estimates.
• Sample and test construction materials to ensure QA adherence.
• Uphold company safety policies and ethics per Code of Conduct.
