Blue Origin LLC is seeking a proven structural leader to oversee design, analysis, and production support for the New Glenn upper stage. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, perform advanced FEM analyses, and guide manufacturing integration in a high-rate production environment.

The role requires hands-on ownership of analyses, mentorship of junior engineers, and the ability to drive cost saving and process improvements while ensuring safety and quality in aerospace hardware.

Qualifications

B.S. in engineering with 7+ years of related experience.
Experience with launch vehicles or aerospace structural design.
Expertise in structural analysis using hand methods and FEM.
Knowledge of material selection and manufacturing techniques.
Advanced FEM modeling knowledge (boundary conditions, bolted connections).
Proficiency with Creo and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Design and analyze primary and secondary structures, including composites and metallic parts.
Coordinate with subsystem teams on structural interfaces.
Provide on-site manufacturing and production support; travel as needed.
Ensure production quality and disposition nonconformances.
Support configuration development and trade studies.
Perform analysis reviews for junior engineers.
Develop and improve enterprise analysis tools and reports.
Maintain schedules, budgets, and technical status.
Mentor junior engineers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
