Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Estimator for Structural Steel in Bayamón, PR to join our team on-site. The role involves preparing accurate estimates from plans, performing quantity take-offs, and developing complete bid proposals for structural steel projects.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, at least 5 years of structural steel estimation experience, and proficiency with Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM, and AISC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of structural steel estimation experience in construction.
• Proficiency with Estimating Software: Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM, and AISC.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for structural steel.
• Develop complete and accurate bid proposals for structural steel projects.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports.
• Interpret and explain contracts and technical information to other professionals.
• Use Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to secure favorable terms.
• Stay updated with latest construction techniques and adjust estimation processes accordingly.
• Work with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure cost efficiency and accuracy.
