Job summary

Samuel Engineering, Inc. seeks a Structural/Rigging Superintendent to lead rigging, equipment setting and structural steel erection on EPC projects. The role involves coordinating craft work, managing field engineers, and ensuring safety and quality compliance.

You will interface with construction managers, project teams, and client representatives to align on schedules, material needs, and budgets. Strong leadership and hands-on experience beyond foreman level are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years of formal training and experience in heavy industrial projects such as refineries, petro-chemical complexes, power plants, etc.
• Rigging certifications from recognized organization(s) and hands on rigging experience.
• Familiar with construction methods, techniques, and labor requirements and how they apply to industrial construction projects.
• Ability to effectively interact with project team members, craft employees, clients, and subcontractors.
• Possess excellent leadership skills and have the ability to effectively manage craft employees, budgets, and construction schedules.
• Prefer to be capable of obtaining applicable state construction licenses if required.
• Must have had previous hands-on job experience above foreman level.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and/or supervise construction activities of site foremen, craft employees, and field engineers on assigned project.
• Interface with Construction Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, Client Representatives, and Subcontractors to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Review constructability of design with project team to meet safety, quality, cost and schedule commitments.
• Establish project schedules and resolve schedule problems while ensuring quality, safety, budget and performance.
• Represent company during bid process, project scope development, client meetings and project management meetings.
