Job summary

Samuel EPC is seeking a Structural/Rigging Superintendent to plan, coordinate and manage rigging, equipment setting and structural steel erection for EPC projects. You will assist in execution plan development and craft work packaging, interfacing with management, clients, and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence.

Ideal candidates have hands-on rigging experience, seven years in heavy industrial projects, and proficiency with Primavera P6, Word, Excel and PDF tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven (7) years of formal training and experience in heavy industrial projects such as refineries, petro-chemical complexes, power plants.
• Rigging certifications from recognized organizations and hands-on rigging experience.
• Familiar with construction methods and labor requirements for industrial projects.
• Ability to interact effectively with project team members, clients, and subcontractors.
• Proven leadership to manage craft employees, budgets and schedules.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6, Word, Excel and PDF tools; licensure possible depending on state requirements.
• Experience above foreman level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise construction activities of site foremen, craft employees, and field engineers.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality programs with Construction Manager and site reps.
• Interface with client representatives and subcontractors to follow policies.
• Review constructability with Design team to meet safety, quality, cost and schedule commitments.
• Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and address schedule issues.
• Represent the company during bid processes and project meetings.
• Forecast equipment, material and personnel needs and prepare requisitions.
• Maintain progress updates on site within scheduled timeframes.
