Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Superintendent to coordinate site surveys with Sales & Operations, plan and direct maintenance projects, and manage rigging, crating, and installation crews. You will oversee site visits, schedule labor and materials, and ensure adherence to MEI procedures while maintaining strong customer relationships.

You will lead safety initiatives, participate in leadership meetings, and work with the Regional Office GM to address customer concerns and bids.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with continuing education in Business, Project or Construction Management or related degree a plus.
• Minimum ten years proven operations management experience or comparable field, preferably within construction, manufacturing or rigging.
• Excellent interpersonal, management, supervisory and project management skills.
• Highly self-directed and motivated.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications.
• Valid driver's license or ability to get one and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site surveys, planning and scheduling of labor and materials.
• Develop, plan and implement schedules for rigging crew in alignment with customer direction.
• Work with Operations Manager and workforce to meet goals in volume, cost, quality, safety, and schedule.
• Participate in hiring, coaching, training and performance of rigging, crating, and installation crews with best practices.
• Develop and instruct crews in best known practices with emphasis on safety.
• Coordinate safety training and investigations with safety personnel.
• Build relationships with customers, partners and support staff.
• Manage project information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in selection of asset rigging and installation equipment and tools.
• Provide work direction to project personnel and communicate with contractors/designers/owners.
