Job summary

PMCS Group, Inc. seeks a seasoned QA/QC Technical Reviewer - Structural to lead reviews of school projects for the Los Angeles Unified School District. You will guide project teams on technical questions, ensuring designs meet District standards and applicable building codes.

The role emphasizes advisory leadership over production, with a focus on long-term quality, safety, and cost-effective construction across LAUSD facilities.

Qualifications

• Licensed CA PE and experience in structural planning, design and construction of educational facilities.
• Ten years of full-time structural engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; substitutions allowed for up to two years of education with equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical reviews of structural plans and specs submitted by staff, consultants, and architects/engineers.
• Provide comments for compliance with District standards and document structural design coordination.
• Conduct QA/QC, constructability, and peer reviews during design and construction.
• Advise OARs, inspectors, design managers, and A/E teams on substitutions and deviations.
• Contribute to District Design Guidelines, School Design Guide, and Technical Specifications.
