Job summary

Los Angeles Unified School District is seeking a QA/QC Technical Reviewer - Structural for on-site work within the Facilities Services Division in Los Angeles, CA. The role requires extensive structural engineering experience in educational facilities and leadership in preparing contract documents.

You will review structural plans, ensure compliance with CBC, Cal Green, OSHA, and other standards, and contribute to design guidelines and district policies.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years full time paid professional experience in structural engineering planning, design and construction of educational facilities
• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field; 2 years substitution allowed for education
• Experience with design reviews, code interpretation, and documentation as part of district projects

Responsibilities

• Perform technical review of proposed structural plans and specifications for construction projects
• Provide review comments on adherence to District standards and quality of design and documentation
• Support maintenance of District Design Guidelines, School Design Guide, Educational Specifications and Technical Drawings
• Coordinate with Design and A/E Technical Support and other District units
