Job summary

CMP Services seeks a QA/QC Technical Reviewer - Structural to support LAUSD with reviewing structural plans and specifications for K-12 school construction. The role ensures compliance with District standards, CBC and safety requirements, and quality assurance across design teams.

Ideal candidates hold a California PE license (SE preferred) and have 10+ years of structural engineering experience in educational facilities, with strong coordination, reporting, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field required/desirable
• Ten (10) years of full-time professional structural engineering experience in educational facilities
• California PE license required; SE license preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs technical review of proposed structural plans and specifications for K-12 school construction.
• Provides comments on adherence to District standards, quality of development and documentation of structural design, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Provides comments and lessons learned to support development of the District’s Design Guidelines and Standards.
• Updates District policies and guides to ensure conformance with building codes and safety requirements.
• Coordinates activities with Design and A/E Technical Support and other District units.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
