Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
- 10 years of full-time structural engineering experience in educational facilities.
- Licensure: California PE required; SE a plus or equivalent.
- Experience with DSA school work and building codes.
Responsibilities
- Review structural plans and specs for compliance with District standards.
- Provide QA/QC, constructability reviews, and peer reviews.
- Advise OARs, inspectors, and A/E teams on substitutions and deviations from standards.
- Contribute to District Design Guidelines, School Design Guide, and Technical Specifications.
- Update policies and specifications to improve safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with Design and A/E Technical Support units and other District groups.
