Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Project Manager in Portland, OR. You will lead complex structural design projects in dams, energy, fisheries, infrastructure and natural resources, while mentoring staff and pursuing business development opportunities.

The role requires a PE license with 12+ years in water resources, strong technical background, and the ability to manage multi-discipline teams and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited University.
• Master's degree in structural engineering preferred.
• 15+ years of structural design experience in water resources.
• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager preferred.
• PE licensed; SE license preferred; NCEES registration preferred.
• Knowledge of codes and standards; design-build/construct.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the preparation of complete project documents from design development reports through construction documents.
• Independently evaluate, select, and apply advanced structural design techniques and criteria to projects.
• Effectively manage multi-discipline teams, assign tasks and direct engineers and staff.
• Collect and analyze data from field investigations and as-built plans to identify design criteria.
• Identify project opportunities and assist with proposals for professional services.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for projects.
• Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships.
• Evaluate and manage planning, design and construction support services.
