Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is hiring a Senior Structural Managing Engineer to lead complex water resources projects from concept through commissioning.

You will manage client relationships, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure technical excellence across dams, hydropower, fisheries, and water treatment facilities. The role requires 18+ years in civil/hydraulic engineering with a PE license and strong project-management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited University
• Master's degree preferred
• 18+ years of experience in civil, and/or hydraulic engineering
• Professional Engineering registration required; California PE registration strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience with water resource infrastructure including fishery related projects, water conveyance, storm water networks, heavy grading, water treatment, wastewater treatment and pump stations
• Familiarity with Federal Agency codes and requirements, including FERC, USACE, USBR
• Regular, predictable attendance is required
• Ability to get along and work effectively with others

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships and pursue opportunities
• Identify project opportunities and prepare proposals
• Conduct kick-off meetings and manage project scope, schedule, and costs
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and monitor project performance
• Prepare planning reports, plans and specifications and cost estimates
• Design of storm water management systems and water infrastructure projects
