Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Senior Structural Project Manager with a strong PE background and 12+ years in water resources to lead multi-disciplinary teams across dams, energy, fisheries, infrastructure, and natural resources projects in Portland and beyond.

The role emphasizes mentorship, business development, and delivering design through construction. Travel and client leadership are integral parts of the position, with a comprehensive benefits package available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited university.
• Master's degree in structural engineering preferred.
• 15+ years of structural design experience in water resource related work.
• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager preferred.
• PE license required; SE license and NCEES registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the preparation of complete project documents from design development reports through construction documents.
• Independently evaluate, select, and apply advanced structural design techniques, procedures, and criteria to projects.
• Effectively manage multi-discipline teams, assign tasks and direct other engineers, technicians and administrative staff.
• Collect and analyze existing data by performing field investigations and reviewing as-built plans and reports to establish conditions.
• Identify project opportunities and assist with proposals for engineering projects or programs.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for projects.
• Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships.
• Evaluate and manage planning, design and construction support services for projects.
