Job summary

Actalent is seeking an energetic Structural Project Manager / Structural Engineer to support restoration and repair of existing buildings from our Jersey City office. You will lead structural assessments, design development, bidding, and construction administration while coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

The role targets a transition from engineering to a full project management track, with emphasis on field inspections, reporting, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Requires a civil/structural engineering degree and professional experience in building structures.
• Minimum several years in engineering consulting with focus on buildings and structural analysis/design.
• Ability to read drawings and prepare technical reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of building codes and construction management principles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal project kick-offs, milestones, and closeouts with stakeholders.
• Conduct on-site inspections and document existing conditions and field tests.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure field and design compliance.
• Prepare professional reports and correspondence for clients and contractors.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and change orders across multiple projects.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with internal teams for project success.
