Job summary

Benesch’s Tennessee team seeks a seasoned Structural Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of bridge and structural projects. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with clients, and ensure TDOT standards are met in all designs.

We value leadership, strong communication, and a track record of managing budgets and schedules for complex infrastructure programs in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of bridge design experience (12+ years preferred).
• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• PE license in Tennessee or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
• Experience with TDOT and/or local municipalities.
• Strong technical expertise in bridge design and structural analysis.
• Experience developing scopes of work, fee proposals, and contracts.
• Proficiency with Bentley CAD and structural design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of bridge and structural projects with clients and a team.
• Lead structural design from concept to final delivery, including retaining walls.
• Prepare and review calculations, plans, specs, estimates, and reports.
• Mentor structural designers and engineers and provide technical direction.
• Coordinate plans, estimates, and pay items per TDOT standards.
• Develop scopes of work, fee proposals, and project strategies with clients.
• Manage budgets, schedules, deliverables, and quality to meet requirements.
• Ensure design calculations and plans undergo independent QC reviews.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve design challenges.
