Qualifications

• 11-15 years’ experience required.
• BS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred); master’s may substitute for 1–2 years of experience.
• PE license required.
• Experience completing transportation studies, design reports, and final design documents.
• Independent experience developing bridge design and detailing (steel, concrete, prestressed concrete), and seismic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manages planning, analysis, preliminary and final design for bridge/ transportation projects.
• Prepares proposals and contracts; participates in technical decisions on approach, costs, scheduling.
• Maintains client relationships, visibility, and business development.
• Directs and mentors staff in design plans, calculations, load ratings, reports, and bid packages.
• Oversees project and task management; ensures scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Reviews plans and analyses to meet requirements.
