Job summary

VHB seeks a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to lead complex transportation infrastructure in Massachusetts and beyond, guiding major pursuits and coordinating with engineers, planners, and specialists on highways, bridges, rail, transit, and airports.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality, mentor staff, and serve as principal liaison with clients and subconsultants, with growth opportunities and a collaborative hybrid work culture at VHB.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of civil or structural engineering experience.
• BS in Civil Engineering (transportation/structural emphasis).
• Massachusetts Professional Engineer licensure.
• Experience with design-build on transportation projects.
• Experience with public transportation agencies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead major pursuits and delivery of complex transportation projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams in planning, analysis, design, and delivery of highway, bridge, rail, transit, and airport infrastructure projects.
• Deliver projects from proposal development through design and construction support.
• Provide leadership for project execution including scope development, technical approach, schedule, budget management, and quality performance.
• Direct and mentor technical staff in the preparation of engineering designs, plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and bid documents.
• Serve as a primary technical liaison with clients, subconsultants, and contractors, representing VHB in project meetings and technical discussions.
