Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing/Structural Engineer to support GS2 tanks and structural hardware on the production floor. You will own MRB dispositions, lead root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to improve yield, quality, and schedule.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical/Aerospace/Manufacturing Engineering with 4+ years in aerospace production or sustaining engineering, plus hands-on floor experience and Creo/Windchill proficiency.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering or related field is required.
• 4+ years in production, test, or sustaining engineering for aerospace structures or launch vehicles.
• Hands-on experience on a production floor interacting with technicians and manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of metallic and composite structural design and fabrication processes.
• Experience creating/reviewing engineering drawings and 3D models (Creo/Windchill preferred).
• Familiarity with structural analysis and failure modes; ability to disposition nonconformances.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary engineering liaison for GS2 tanks and structural hardware on the production floor.
• Own MRB disposition of nonconformances, concessions, and repair plans for GS2 tanks and structures.
• Lead triage, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for build issues and test anomalies.
• Support daily production operations; triage defects, review test data, and maintain schedule while protecting safety and quality.
• Coordinate with design owners to implement ECRs/ECOs for GS2 Tanks and structural hardware.
