Job summary

Stantec in Salt Lake City seeks an experienced Senior Estimator to develop and coordinate cost estimates for building and facility projects worldwide, ranging from $1 million to $2 billion. The role involves leading a team of estimators, coordinating multiple disciplines, and ensuring estimate defensibility during project development.

The successful candidate will coordinate schedules, validate takeoffs, and support procurement, change management, and risk analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of combined estimating and construction experience.
• Experience with multiple estimating platforms and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the development of multi-discipline cost estimates and construction schedules.
• Develop estimates for architectural systems, building envelope, interiors, finishes, doors/hardware, and related components.
• Coordinate input parameters for cost estimates and schedules.
• Validate takeoffs and quantities from drawings.
• Coordinate and compile information from estimating disciplines into one estimate.
• Prepare basis of cost estimate reports for end users.
• Develop estimate execution plans and labor-force work plans.
• Interface with management and clients for estimating tasks.
• Identify risks and opportunities and contribute to risk analyses.
