Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Technical Manager - Structural Engineering (Generation) to lead and deliver large-scale structural projects in Houston, TX. You will provide technical direction, mentor staff, and coordinate across disciplines to meet safety, quality, and budget objectives.

The role requires a strong background in structural/civil design, advanced proficiency with major software, and the ability to manage complex projects across phases from concept to construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in engineering with structural/civil design background.
• Engineer license (multi-state preferred).
• Strong knowledge of structural/civil construction laws, codes and regulations.
• Experience with inspections and investigations of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for multi-site due diligence, design and construction of structures and infrastructure.
• Develop construction plans, specs and cost estimates with coordination among owners and sub-consultants.
• Oversee budgets, hours, expenses, and subcontractor management on large projects.
• Mentor staff and support professional development.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC and safety standards across projects.
