Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Technical Director - Electrical Engineering (Generation) to lead electrical engineering efforts in Houston. You will guide project delivery, budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance across major power generation initiatives.

The role requires 15+ years of experience, a strong grasp of codes/regulations, and proven leadership in multi-disciplinary teams. Travel may be required to support large-scale infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and PE license or multi-state license preferred.
• 15+ years’ experience in electrical engineering and infrastructure design for large capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of codes, compliance, and safety regulations.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and complex programs.
• Ability to drive proposals, budgets, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional leadership to deliver electrical engineering design across programs.
• Lead the most complex electrical projects, manage budgets, hours, and subcontractors.
• Drive business development and project execution for large infrastructure work.
• Lead contract negotiations, presentations, and client meetings.
• Set strategic direction for electrical engineering growth and ensure regulatory compliance.
