Job summary

McNamara - Salvia seeks an experienced structural engineer to contribute to diverse projects across the United States and internationally. You will design and analyze concrete, steel, wood, and masonry systems, working independently and as part of a team with a focus on lateral force resisting systems for tall or complex structures.

The role requires a Master’s degree, 2–5+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5+ years’ experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI building codes.
• Proficient with SAP2000, RAM, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE and REVIT.
• Strong technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Desirable: wind and seismic, tall buildings, performance-based design.

Responsibilities

• Structural engineering and analysis.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, specifications, models, and reports.
• Attend meetings with clients and design team members.
• Construction Administration including shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and field observations.
