Job summary

McNamara • Salvia, Structural Engineers in Orlando seeks a Project Engineer to apply your knowledge of structural design and analysis for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood buildings, working both independently and with a team. The role covers all aspects of design, drawings, calculations, shop drawing review, RFIs, and meetings with clients and the design team.

A strong candidate has 3+ years in structural engineering, and proficiency in RAM Concept, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE, REVIT, and code

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years experience in structural engineering with emphasis on building structures.
Passed Engineer-in-Training exam.
Knowledge of building fundamentals and design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI.
Experience with structural programs such as RAM Concept, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE and REVIT.
Strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communications.
Excellent planning and organizational skills for our fast-paced environment.
Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

All aspects of structural engineering design.
Preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, analytical models, reports and correspondence.
Construction Administration including review of shop drawings, submittals, RFIs and field observation.
Attend internal and external meetings with clients and design team members.
