Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural design and analysis across multiple projects within the Design & Engineering team. You will oversee technical scopes, seal calculations, and guide junior staff while collaborating with operations and preconstruction to deliver practical, buildable solutions.

The role requires a PE license and extensive experience in various materials and codes, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
SE license preferred.
Typically 6–14+ years of structural engineering and design experience.
Demonstrated ability to operate in Responsible Charge for engineering deliverables.
Proficiency with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, AWC, AISI).
Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

Lead structural design and analysis for complex projects.
Oversee engineering deliverables and seal calculations per licensing requirements.
Provide technical oversight across multiple projects and teams.
Mentor junior engineers and develop standards/procedures.
Collaborate with operations, preconstruction, and project teams to deliver buildable solutions.
Support risk assessment and means/methods development.
