Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer in Linthicum, MD to lead analysis on airborne, shipboard, and ground structures. The role involves both leadership and hands-on structural FEM work, including loads, static and fatigue analyses, and vibration studies.

The candidate will mentor junior staff, coordinate with IPT Leads, and contribute to technical risk assessment and schedule adherence within the Hardware Engineering Organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of experience, Master’s with 10, Ph.D. with 8 in STEM fields.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance.
• 12 years of experience in classical structural and FEM analysis.
• 12 years of experience with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis on aerospace, shipboard, ground-based, and space radar structures.
• Develop loads, conduct static, fatigue, and vibration analyses.
• Lead and mentor analysts, plan tasks, and communicate results to program customers.
• Collaborate with IPT Leads/Product Owners to meet schedules and manage technical risk.
