Job summary

AES Corporation seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design and review for PV, BESS, HV substations, and related structures. You will ensure code-compliant solutions, guide foundation design, and coordinate with AES Renewables teams and external partners.

The role requires 10+ years in structural engineering, PV/BESS experience, and US codes proficiency, with up to 25% travel. Remote-friendly position across AES Renewables offices.

Qualifications

• Undergrad degree in structural engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• 5+ years in PV and Battery Energy Storage System design and WTG foundation design.
• 2+ years in HV substation and overhead line design.

Responsibilities

• Review structural plans for AES CE Engineering and provide design guidance.
• Analyze and comment on structural calculations and RFI responses.
• Support OE engagements and coordinate with external vendors and project engineers.
• Develop tools and standards for design reviews and cost estimating.
