Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Dallas, TX, specializing in rehabilitation and facility performance. You will lead complex structural work, guide design teams, and support project management across Dallas–Fort Worth and wider Texas markets.

The role emphasizes hard design work, client communication, and mentorship within a collaborative, ESOP-owned environment. Travel up to 20% is required, and a PE license is essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
• PE licensure is required.
• 7+ years in building design consulting; 12 preferred.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and client-relations skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for structural system analysis.
• Create detailed designs, specs, and calculations per codes and IMEG standards.
• Perform site assessments and generate technical reports.
• Interact with clients to capture requirements and maintain relationships.
• Provide in-process design reviews and QA/QC.
• Provide training/mentoring and field issue support.
• Stay current with industry trends and innovations.
• Prioritize safety and maintain professional conduct.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in project interviews and presentations.
