Job summary
HDR is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to deliver expert structural design and project leadership across building projects in Montana. You will guide design activities, oversee teams of engineers and technicians, and contribute to our employee-owned culture while coordinating multi-disciplinary efforts.
Ideal candidates hold a PE license, 10+ years of experience in building design, and proficiency in AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, and SAFE, with expertise in steel, concrete, masonry and wood
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years structural engineering experience for building design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by state licensing board.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar software.
- Experience with steel, concrete, masonry and wood design.
- Understanding of gravity and lateral analysis.
- Experience in an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
- Commitment to employee-owned culture.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert with authority in structural engineering for projects; resolve complex problems.
- Plan and develop projects or design activities.
- Plan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians.
- Serve as Project Manager on larger projects (not sole focus).
- Perform other duties as needed.
