Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Engineer in Montana to contribute to design development and construction document phases. You will review structural documents, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure code compliance with governing agencies. A PE license and civil/structural degree are required, with experience in consulting a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license required.
Experience as a structural engineer in consulting or similar environment preferred.
Proficient with AutoCAD, SAP, ETABS, STAAD and RAM suites.

Responsibilities

Review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
Write and edit structural specifications; select procedures, materials and sizes; perform calculations.
Coordinate the structural design team through design development and CD phases.
Meet with governing agencies to ensure code compliance.
Conduct design development and CD sessions on-site with PM and other disciplines.
Coordinate workload through development and CD phases to meet schedules.
Incorporate changes from addenda, RFIs, and change orders into documents.
Perform other duties as needed.
