Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to act as a technical lead on building projects, plan and develop structural designs, and supervise a professional staff. The role includes acting as Project Manager on larger initiatives and performing related duties as required.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering, a PE license, and 10+ years of building design experience; proficiency in AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• 10+ years structural engineering experience in building design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering as it relates to projects; resolve problems of greater scope and complexity.
• Plan and develop projects or design activities.
• Plan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians.
• Serve as Project Manager on larger projects, though project management is not sole focus of position.
• Perform other duties as needed.
