Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Engineer in Montana to join our employee-owned team. You will review design documents, prepare specifications, and coordinate the structural design across development and construction phases.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and a PE license, with experience in Excel, AutoCAD, and major structural software. This on-site role offers a full-time schedule in a collaborative, inclusive environment with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Previous structural engineer experience.
• Proficiency with structural software: AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar.

Responsibilities

• Review structural documents for conflicts with all disciplines.
• Write and edit structural specifications, select procedures and materials, and complete calculations.
• Coordinate the structural design team through design development and contract document phases.
• Coordinate meetings with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Lead design development and site sessions with PM and other disciplines.
• Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule across phases.
• Incorporate addenda, RFIs, change orders into project documents.
• Perform other duties as needed.
