Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Engineer in Missoula with the ability to review structural documents, perform calculations, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams through development and contract phases.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, a PE license, and at least three years of related experience. Proficiency with AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAP and similar tools is preferred. HDR offers an inclusive, employee-owned culture and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
• Previous structural engineer experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and structural software such as RISA, Staad, RAM, ETABS, SAP, Tedds, SAFE or similar

Responsibilities

• Review structural documents for conflicts with all disciplines
• Write and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and sizes, and complete calculations
• Coordinate the structural design team through design development and contract documents
• Meet with agencies for code compliance and participate in reviews
• Conduct design development and construction document sessions on site with PM and other disciplines
• Coordinate workload through design development to finish documents on schedule
• Coordinate with affected disciplines and incorporate change orders into documents
• Perform other duties as needed
