HDR is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Montana team. The role focuses on technical leadership in structural design for building projects, with responsibilities spanning planning, design, and supervision of staff.

A PE license is required, along with substantial experience in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood design. This position emphasizes contribution to HDR's employee-owned culture, collaboration across groups, and delivering high-quality projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) is required.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience in building design.
• Experience with AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert with authority in structural engineering for projects; resolve problems of greater scope and complexity.
• Plan and develop projects or design activities.
• Plan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians.
• Serve as Project Manager on larger projects, though project management is not sole focus of position.
• Perform other duties as needed.
